A resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, Nathan Duncan serves as the general manager of the Patagonia store in Palo Alto. His responsibilities with this outdoor clothing retailer include optimizing business operations, spearheading brand messaging, boosting customer engagement, and overseeing the daily activities of 30 staff members. Since joining the Patagonia team in June 2019, Nathan Duncan has developed and instituted e-learning processes to facilitate onboarding and training and improved both customer service and staff retention.

Prior to his current work, he focused on the field of education and served as the head of school at the Academy at Trails Carolina in Hendersonville, North Carolina, where he oversaw a team of more than 20 staff members and developed comprehensive onboarding processes. In addition, he served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps in West Africa on two occasions.

Nathaniel Duncan earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from the Queens University of Charlotte, a master’s degree in international relations from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Kutztown University.
